Boys lead the way at Surrey Championships for RSC

It was a good day for RSC at this yesterday's Surrey championships & grading held at the Dorking Sports Centre.
In the U11 boys, George performed his first somersault in competition to win the event from 6 year brother Chris in 2nd, with Josh 3rd. The boys were also the U11 team champions. Cheynne came from behind with a superb voluntary routine to win the U13 girls, & Ralph E made it an RSC double winning the U13 boys in some style. Bethany and Chloe helped Cheynne to win the U13 girls team title. In the Senior ladies Kia, in her first competition back since a long injury lay off, won the event by 0.1 from Katie, with Kelly in 3rd - The girls secured the team title. There were loads of other excellent RSC performances with hardly any errors, so congratulations to everyone who took part on a great day's work and the final haul of 4 individual and 2 team titles was just reward for the hard work that went into preparing for this event.
In the H & I Grading, George narrowly missed out on promotion to grade G at his first attempt, however Josh did really well and achieved the required score and is now eligible to compete at Regional level at grade G. Melissa performed 2 great routines and achieved a score high enough to entitle her to leapfrog promotion straight to grade F; a fantastic performance.
So once again well done to all of our RSC competitors, you were a real credit to the club and also a big thank you to Tracy, Laura, Naomi & Cindy for giving up their Sunday to officiate for RSC.
