Rock Steady Crew 26th Annual Birthday Competition

Posted by Cindy Hedmann on Tuesday, February 2, 2010
It was a busy and tiring weekend for the Rock Steady Crew celebrating its 26th birthday!  The competition was attended by our friends from Sheffield, Tolworth & Beckenham who put on some fantastic performances.

In the U16 Junior event, Alex bounced well to retain her Junior crown, whilst Kia put in an excellent performance to retain her Senior title.  The final of the David March memorial trophy was between the holder Carolyne and Beki, with Beki just pipping Carolyne to the title.

The club's annual awards were presented;  Well done to Jake who won the 'Streets Ahead' high bounce trophy, Kia retained the Averages trophy, and Sophie Turner Flynn won the Martin-Clarke cup for highest tariff increase of last year.  The top RSC award, the Kunick Cup awarded to the club person of the previous year, was won by Carolyne.

Congratulations to everyone who took part, as every one did extremely well.  There was also some great performances by our guests, including a demonstration of triple sommies by the boys from Sheffield.

The competition was followed up with a very competitive bowling evening, a very pleasant meal in the Gypsy Moth, followed by a good old RSC knees up in Tiger Tiger!!

A big thank you to the club's parents, former bouncers, & officials who helped on the day judging, scoring, making teas, selling leotards etc - it was a great day and it couldn't have happened without your help.
