RSC Birthday Competition

This weekend saw RSC celebrate its 28th birthday with the traditional competition, presentation of the annual awards and now famous party.

There were some fantastic performances and new for 2012 was the Novices taking part in a start-from-zero final to add to the excitement.

Ralph E was the runaway winner of the U13 section with Bethany in second and Nayna in 3rd.

Cheynne was similarly dominant in the U16 section, winning from Alex in 2nd and Sophie in 3rd. Cheynne's performance was also good enough to win the Junior's trophy donated by Laura & Family.

The Seniors was a close run contest with Juliette coming out on top, Carolyne in 2nd with Katie in 3rd.

The final of the David March memorial event was between brother & sister Ralph & Alex, but a rare mistake from Alex let Ralph in for a comfortable victory. In addition to the trophy, Ralph also won a prize donated by David's mum, Marina for which we are very grateful.

We welcomed our friends from Tolworth & Beckenham Fliers who really contributed towards a high quality competition.

The threat of bad weather meant that the party started and ended early but not before everyone enjoyed a good old RSC knees up - it was particularly nice to see our new members joining in (including tiny Lauren C who despite her diminutive stature led the dancing until mum dragged her off home)!

We managed to award our annual trophies before the weather closed in - Bethany crowned a great day by winning the best improved 10 bounce time for last year, while Megan took the award for highest improvement in Tariff. Cheynne won the highest form average for last year and then followed that up by wining the club's top award, Bouncer of the Year for 2011, a brilliant achievement. Many congratulations to all our award winners, it was great to see some youngsters winning the major trophies.

I would like to thank everyone who helped on the day, we couldn't have run the event without you. Cindy & I would also like to thank everyone for our generous card and presents, honestly the results that you guys deliver comp after comp is reward in itself, but your thoughtful gifts are very much appreciated - thank you once again.
