Sheffield Invitational Competition

Congratulations to all of the RSC members who travelled to Sheffield to take part in last weekend's Abbey Flyers Invitational competition. It was the highest standard of competition many of the team had entered. The results are shown below. Highlights of the day included Ralph winning the U13 boys, Carolyne coming second in the 17+ girls, beaten only by the former World number 4 Bryony Page, and Alex successfully completing a personal best difficulty including a double back sommie. The 17+ team of Lydia, Jess & Carolyne finished behind the hosts in 2nd place. Alex starred in the synchronised competition, winning the silver medal in the U15 section with brother Ralph, missing out on Gold by only 0.2, & then winning the silver medal in the U17 event with partner Megan. RSC finished 4th in the overall club competition behind some very experienced squads. The hosts put on a great disco in the evening and RSC (members & parents) joined a number of clubs to dance the night away. A big thank you to Laura who judged all day for the RSC. It was a long way to go, but everyone did really well and a good time was had by all.
